The Communist Party of China Central Committee has issued the revised regulations on inspection work on Wednesday, with the aim of enhancing standardization and tightening the supervisory network.

A circular from the CPC Central Committee noted that the new document has taken the Party Constitution as the fundamental basis and further improved the inspection work system and mechanism, and the responsibility system.

The regulations have great significance for adhering to and strengthening the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee over inspection work, as well as promoting the high-quality development of inspection work, it said.

The circular asked the Party committees at all levels to promote political supervision and make it specific, precise and normalized.

It requires demonstrating real results and seeking practical effects in inspections and problem rectification, improving the rectification mechanism, and comprehensively utilizing the results of inspections to address both symptoms and root causes of detected problems.

The circular also emphasizes the need to fully leverage the comprehensive supervisory role of inspections, strengthen coordination between inspections and other supervisory channels, and make use of the systemic advantages of linkage between the upper and lower levels of Party committees to strengthen the supervision network.
